Vibe Lab Session 02
An afternoon of AI vibe coding — treating AI as a collaborator, not a tool you type at. Bring a laptop and a problem worth solving.
A working session, not a lecture.
Vibe Lab is KalFlow’s hands-on afternoon for southwest Michigan builders, operators, and the AI-curious. We describe what we want in plain language, let AI draft it, then steer, test, and ship — in the open, together.
Build something real
You leave with a working thing — a script, a page, an automation — not a folder of notes you’ll never reopen.
Watch the process
The interesting part isn’t the prompt, it’s what happens after. We work through the false starts and course corrections live.
Bring your own problem
The messy spreadsheet, the report nobody wants to run, the thing you keep meaning to automate. That’s the material.
Two hours, four moves.
Open & frame
Quick intros, what we’re building, and the one idea the session runs on: AI as a collaborator you steer, not a vending machine.
Live build
We take a real problem from the room and build it end to end — narrating the prompts, the corrections, and the parts that don’t work the first time.
Your turn
Open lab. You work on your own problem with help on hand. This is the bulk of the afternoon and the reason to bring a laptop.
Show & tell
Anyone who wants to share what they got working. Short, informal, no pressure.
Come as you are.
- Small business owners and operators who keep hearing they should “use AI” and want to see what that actually looks like.
- People who already build — developers, analysts, spreadsheet power users — looking to work faster and compare notes.
- The AI-curious with no coding background at all. No experience is required, and none is assumed.
- Returning attendees. Session 02 picks up where the first left off, but it stands on its own.
Short list.
- A laptop and its charger. Any operating system is fine.
- A problem worth solving — something repetitive from your actual work. The more specific, the better.
- An AI account you can sign into if you already have one. If you don’t, we’ll get you set up at the start.
- Nothing else. No prep, no reading, no prerequisites.
Questions we get.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Vibe coding means describing what you want in plain language and steering the result. Plenty of people in the room have never written a line of code, and that’s the point.
I missed Session 01. Can I still come?
Yes. Each session stands on its own. We’ll re-frame the basics at the top so nobody’s lost.
Is there a cost?
No — Vibe Lab is free to attend. Seating is limited, so please cancel your reservation if your plans change and someone else can take your spot.
Where exactly do I go?
KRESA Career Connect Campus. Parking and room details go out by email a few days before the session.
Can I bring a colleague?
Please do — just have them reserve their own spot so we have an accurate headcount.
Bring a laptop and a problem worth solving.
Two hours at KRESA Career Connect Campus. Free, limited seating.
